We at Damn Interesting have indefinitely suspended our freelancer author program⁠—it became overwhelmed with low-effort submissions, and proposals that are probably-maybe-definitely LLM slop. We may reopen to freelancers if/when the LLM bubble bursts, and humans retake the power of the pen. Until then, we’ll continue to work with the verifiable humans already in our midst.
